It's Better Tax' first season and we're proud to share two of the things we're doing differently.

First, why should everyone have to store their tax information the same way? Some people want the convenience of encrypted cloud storage, while others would prefer to store it locally. We're offering both options, because this should be your choice.

Second, your data is yours alone. Filing your tax return should be private ao we don't track you or use marketing cookies. We will store some very high level details about your tax situation, but that's entirely detached from any personal information and is used only to understand our user base and to make Better Tax even ... better.

We named our company Better Tax because that's what we're building: the very best way to file your Canadian tax return, with more say over what happens to your data.
